MARIE PULL

MARIE PULL
On October 13, 2026 our fluffy, funny, thought we were “the best kids” mom passed away. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Edward. She had four “great kids” who will miss her terribly, Michele - the prettiest baby - Klassen (Jake), Michael - the airplane mechanic - Pull (Michele), Mark - the best looking guy in Winnipeg - Pull (Pamela) and Dawn - “my baby” - Chaulk (Jamie).
Mom was so proud to be a grandma to Ainsley, Brock, Matthew, Brittnee, Nolan, Kiera, Jonah and Connor. She also held the title of great-grandma to her “muffins,” Ellaina, Miles, Sawyer, Emery, a new baby coming in 2027 and Mason. They were her beautiful grandbabies, all of them.
Marie will be fondly remembered by her best friend since grade six, Bev Grabowecky.
Mom was one of the faces that greeted you at Rougeau Plaza Medical Centre until she retired at 72. Right up to the end, she referred to Dr. Fred Olynyk and Dr. Allen Kimelman, Tammy, Ellen and Ruth as a great group to work with. Marie, loved them and all of “her” patients.
We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the exceptional care given to our mom from home care. Because of their support, mom was able to stay in her own home with our dad. Thank you for being there for our parents. We appreciate everything you do!
We could go on and on about our mom. 87 years is a long life that was well lived with many stories. Some things we think of when we think of her are: Toni home perms, perogies, cinnamon buns, “spins” in the Oldsmobile, sunflower seeds, knitting / unknitting, big blue 80s eye glasses, blue eyeshadow and bright pink lipstick, sample acne treatments, medical tape for hockey sticks, leotards, peanut butter bread and hot chocolate breakfasts, mystery baking with a note on how they are best eaten, return address stickers, letters with coupons or newspaper clippings enclosed, birthday cards, “wonderful” sons and daughters-in-law, oversized purses, raw in the middle pancakes, perfect hair, homemade clothing, Family Feud, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Y & R, Dallas, Knots Landing, Lawrence Welk, The Price Is Right, Nora Roberts, Maeve Binchy, solitaire, Sylvia Kuzyk, Youth Dew, Ombré Rose, Liquorice Allsorts, Bridge Mixture, Clorets, and Halls no sugar cough candies.
In mom’s words, “When I’m gone, I’m gone.” Cremation has taken place (we made sure she had her big purse and her teeth!) and her immediate family got together for Chinese food because that’s what she loved the most; being with her kids. If you would like to honour her memory throw on a nightgown and housecoat, make a big bowl of popcorn with butter and black pepper then watch a couple episodes of The Price Is Right or The Young and the Restless.
Us daughters want to thank our brothers for showing up when we needed them the most. We can’t rave enough about your help (we ARE Marie’s after all).
Thanks also to mom’s baby sister Nancy who has helped our dad navigate this new phase in his life.
Thanks to MacKenzie Funeral Home for helping us to end mom’s story.
