Joann Lee Huff (née Einarson), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2026, at Action Marguerite Care Home following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Born on September 7, 1960, Joann was from Grand Rapids, Manitoba, Canada. She worked as a Health Records Technician throughout her career.
Joann found great joy in spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandsons, Kayden and Cole, who held a special place in her heart. She had a fondness for yellow roses, whose beauty will serve as a lovely reminder of her memory. Joann also treasured her longstanding friendship with Lora Orbanski, a meaningful bond that remained an important part of her life.
Joann will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Alfred Huff; her son, Kirk Huff and his wife, Candice Bartlette; and her cherished grandsons, Kayden Huff and Cole Huff. She is also survived by her siblings, Mabel Wall, Doreen Labren, Wanda Bryon and Wayne Einarson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Joann was predeceased by her parents, Johann Einarson and Jenny McKay Einarson.
Joann's passing marks the loss of a beloved member of her family. Those who knew and loved her will carry her memory with them, cherishing the moments they shared and the bonds that made her life special.
A memorial service will be held in Grand Rapids, Manitoba at a date to be announced in 2027. Further details will be shared once arrangements have been finalized.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those wishing to honour Joann's memory to consider making a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba in support of those affected by Alzheimer's disease and their families.
She will be remembered with love, cherished like a yellow rose, and deeply missed by all who knew her.
