K. Heather Derkson

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Heather Derkson at the Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, September 24, 2026. Left to cherish Heather’s memory are her daughters, Dana, Megan and son-in-law Trevor. Heather was predeceased by her husband Allan and parents, Bill and Ruth. She was born and raised in Winnipeg and graduated from St. John’s High School. Heather was a devoted wife and mother, skilled seamstress, and enjoyed baking, chaperoning school trips, hosting holiday dinners, travel and community activities. She will be interred with her husband at a later date.
