Beverly June Johnson

Beverly June Johnson

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that Beverly June Johnson passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on June 3, 1943, Beverly’s life was defined by a big loving heart and a lifelong commitment to anyone in need.

Though she spent her earlier years in Toronto and Montreal, Beverly found her true home in Winnipeg, where she settled in the early ’70s and rooted her life for over five decades.

Beverly’s legacy is one of boundless care and devotion. Throughout her life, she balanced a career in banking with a deeply meaningful calling as a foster mother. She opened her heart and her home to countless children over the years, leaving a mark of warmth and security on so many lives.

Beverly is now reunited in peace with her second husband, William George (Bill) Flett; her first husband, Jack Johnson; her beloved parents, Roy and Patricia Durocher; and her dear brother, Timmy Durocher.

Her gentle spirit lives on through her surviving siblings, Allen (Linda), Pamela, Gail (Rick), and Peggy (David). Her loving spirit will be deeply missed by her children, Tamika, Glenn (Kumari), and Tristan (Kai); her step-children, Colleen and Ron (Alexis); and her foster children, Candace and Jeffery. Her warmth will also be remembered fondly by her many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Beverly will be remembered not for how she left us, but for the profound kindness, open arms, and quiet strength she offered to the world.

A Celebration of Life memorial gathering to honour Beverly’s life and cherished memories will be held November 7, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at St. Bartholomew Anglican Church, 881 Autumnwood Drive, Winnipeg MB.

Family and friends are warmly invited to bring photos and stories to share.

In Bev’s honour, donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada or to a charity of your choice.
