Susan Loraine Gower

It is with sadness to announce the passing of Susan on October 16, 2026, at the age of 80 years.

Susan will be forever missed by her sons, David (Melissa) and Kent (Jennifer); and her two grandsons, Liam and Cooper.

Susan was born on January 1, 1946 in Winnipeg. She had a lifelong love of sports. Playing hockey as a child and softball as an adult. She also always enjoyed cheering on her favourite teams especially the Toronto Blue Jays. Her home was always open to family and friends, especially to the kids who grew up with her sons in Anola.

Throughout her life she had a special connection with her group of girlfriends from school and made many other lifelong friends as well. Susan loved Grand Marais, Manitoba where she spent her summers as a child.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba.

Cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

We miss you already mom. You were loved so much by all the people whose lives you touched.
