Notice of a Petition for a Private Bill: The Winnipeg Foundation
This is notice to the public that The Winnipeg Foundation (the “Foundation”) will present a petition for a Private Bill to the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba at this or the next session of the Legislature.
The Private Bill will make the following amendments to The Winnipeg Foundation Act (S.M. 2004, c. 45):
• permit the Foundation, with the approval of its board of directors, to enter into an agreement with a qualified donee (within the meaning of the Income Tax Act (Canada)) located or authorized to operate in Manitoba that is not a registered charity, under which the Foundation receives, invests and manages funds on behalf of that qualified donee;
• add a definition of “qualified donee” to the Act.

AVIS DE PÉTITION INTRODUCTIVE D'UN PROJET DE LOI D'INTÉRÊT PRIVÉ
Il est par les présentes donné avis que la fondation dénommée « The Winnipeg Foundation » (la « Fondation ») entend présenter à l’Assemblée législative, à la session en cours ou à la prochaine session, une pétition introductive d’un projet de loi d’intérêt privé.
Le projet de loi apportera les modifications qui suivent à la Loi sur la Fondation dénommée « The Winnipeg Foundation » (c. 45 des L.M. 2004) :
• permettre à la Fondation, sous réserve de l’approbation de son conseil d’administration, de conclure un accord avec un donataire reconnu (au sens de la Loi de l’impôt sur le revenu [Canada]) qui est situé au Manitoba ou autorisé à y exercer ses activités et qui n’est pas un organisme de bienfaisance enregistré afin qu’elle reçoive, place et gère des fonds en son nom;
• ajouter la définition de « donataire reconnu » à la Loi.
