A self-evident truth

Re: Mitigation trumps inspiration for many voters this fall (Oct. 17)

I read with great interest Rebecca Chambers’ latest column, as I always do when it is there. I am wondering how she can reconcile a sentence like “we get what we pay for, and it isn’t worth the bragging rights” in reference to property taxes being low here, and the three closing words of the piece, “Winnipeggers deserve better.”

She has just finished explaining, quite lucidly, why we don’t.
